Lawall Prosthetics & Orthotics: A Tradition of Excellence Since 1977

Since 1977, the professionals at Harry J. Lawall & Son, Inc. have been building on the tradition of excellence started by family co-founders Harry J. Lawall, Sr. and Harry J. Lawall, Jr.

The company’s focus on providing high quality devices and superior patient care has enabled Lawall to grow from a small, mom-and-pop operation to a well-respected prosthetics and orthotics provider with over 200 employees at 21 locations in four states.

Despite its phenomenal growth, the company has never lost sight of its origins as a family-owned business, where the priority is providing our patients the service they deserve along with the latest technology available.

In 2018, the Philadelphia Media Network, publisher of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Daily News and philly.com selected Lawall as a “Family-Owned Business of the Year” award winner.

As our business continues to evolve, family values, integrity and traditions remain key components for achieving success and an honor such as this reflects the dedication our employees have to fulfilling our company’s mission of improving the lives of our patients by providing compassionate care and the highest quality prosthetic and orthotic services available.

Lawall Prosthetic & Orthotic Services employs only well-trained and highly skilled orthotists and prosthetists who are certified by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics and licensed within the states where they practice.

Certification assures that the practitioner has met the profession’s rigorous standards through intensive training, including undergraduate and post-graduate education, apprenticeships or residency programs, and passing a three-part comprehensive examination.

The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics has accredited our facilities. In addition, Lawall is a corporate member of the American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association. Credentials must be renewed every five years and practitioners must complete a mandated number of continuing education credits to maintain competency. Providing access to cutting-edge technology has tremendous impact on our patients’ lives, creating the opportunity for small miracles to happen every day.

Regularly hosted offerings in our continuing education program assist practitioners and other members of the rehab team to keep their knowledge and techniques up to date in order to improve our patients’ level of success.

Prosthetists, orthotists, therapists, physicians and case managers may all benefit from presentations on a variety of O&P topics offered several times each year, many of which offer qualifying continuing education credits.
